Orlando City SC are reportedly set to acquire 20-year-old Colombian striker Carlos Rivas.
A pair of reporters from a local radio station reported Thursday that the Deportivo Cali youngster is headed to the MLS expansion club, joining their signature signing in Brazilian star Kaka. A source confirmed to FutbolMLS.com that Cali will make the announcement later on Thursday.
In his third year with Cali, Rivas is enjoying his finest season, leading the team with 12 goals in 29 league appearances. He has also scored three goals in nine continental games, one in five substitute appearances in Copa Libertadores and two in four Copa Sudamericana starts.
When contacted by MLSsoccer.com about the reports, an Orlando City spokesperson said the club could not confirm the deal, as it is club policy not to comment on transfer rumors.
