Seattle Sounders' Marco Pappa takes Week 33 Player of the Week honors

Marco Pappa celebrates goal for Seattle Sounders

If how many minutes you play matters less than what you do with those minutes, Seattle Sounders midfielder Marco Pappa was example No. 1 over the weekend, coming off the bench to score both goals in the Seattle Sounders' 2-0, Supporters' Shield-clinching win over the LA Galaxy on Saturday.

In addition to helping his team pick up some hardware, Pappa will take home some individual hardware as well, voted as Week 33's Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters. Pappa edged New York Red Bulls striker Bradley Wright-Phillips, who scored twice to tie the MLS single-season goalscoring record and give New York a home playoff game.

The Player of the Week award is the fourth for a Sounders player in 2014.
