Goal of the Matchday

Sporting KC's Graham Zusi narrowly edges Federico Higuain for AT&T Goal of the Week

It came down to the slightest of margins, but Sporting KC's Graham Zusi narrowly edged out the Columbus Crew's Federico Higuain in the end.

In one of the tightest races of the season, Zusi beat Higuain for Week 20's AT&T Goal of the Week award by a mere .51 percent of the vote. Zusi claimed the honors for his impressive, top-shelf finish in Sporting Kansas City's 2-1 road win over Toronto FC, leaving Higuain's stunning free-kick goal in the Columbus Crew's 2-1 victory at the New England Revolution to finish in second place.

Colorado Rapids midfielder Nick LaBrocca came in third place with a good chunk of the week's vote, earning almost 22 percent for his strike in the club's 3-0 home triumph against Chivas USA last Friday.

Final Votes (Week 20):

  1. Graham Zusi (SKC): 28.63%
  2. Federico Higuain (CLB): 28.12
  3. Nick LaBrocca (COL): 21.96%
  4. Shea Salinas (SJ): 11.7%
  5. Gabriel Torres (COL): 9.58%
