Seattle Sounders' Obafemi Martins captures 2nd straight AT&T Goal of the Week award

For the second straight week, Obafemi Martins has claimed the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week award.

Martins took the Week 8 honors by earning almost 39 percent of the overall vote for his splendid run and finish in the Seattle Sounders' 4-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids. The veteran forward once again edged out a Real Salt Lake player for the accolade, beating out Álvaro Saborío a week after trumping Ned Grabavoy.

Martins' latest conquest marks the third straight week in which a Sounders player has won the Goal of the Week. Clint Dempsey started the impressive run back in Week 6.

Final Votes (Week 8):

1. Obafemi Martins (SEA): 38.73%
2. Álvaro Saborío (RSL): 32.35%
3. Sebastián Fernández (VAN): 19.03%
