GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Club Tijuana and their American legion will fine-tune ahead of next Wednesday’s CONCACAF Champions League clash with the LA Galaxy by going up against Chivas on Friday at Estadio Caliente (10:30 pm ET, Azteca America).

Herculez Gomez and Greg Garza are the most likely American starters, with Joe Corona and Paul Arriola also in the frame as the Xolos seek to turn the page on a 3-0 loss to Chiapas in their last home game.

Edgar Castillo is likely to miss out due to his involvement for the US in their 2-0 loss to Ukraine in Cyprus on Wednesday.

There is further American involvement on Friday, with DaMarcus Beasley, Michael Orozco and Puebla in action against Toluca at Estadio Nemesio Diéz (9:30 pm ET, Univision Deportes).

Jose Torres knows time is of the essence if he is to make a run at the US national team’s World Cup squad and will be hoping to regain his starting spot when Tigres UANL host Liga MX leader Cruz Azul, for whom Michael Farfan is an option (Saturday, 8 pm ET, UniMas)

Michael’s brother Gabriel Farfan is in line to continue his integration into Chiapas’ first team when they travel to Atlas on Saturday (10 p.m. ET, Univision Deportes).

And on Sunday, Jonathan Bornstein’s Atlante are fighting for their Liga MX life and will see the match at home to crisis–ridden Querétaro as a good opportunity for three points (6 pm ET, Univision Deportes).
