SiriusXM to carry live coverage and analysis of MLS Playoffs, including MLS Cup

The MLS Cup Playoffs are taking to the airwaves. Sirius XM Radio will offer subscribers nationwide extensive coverage of the 2013 Major League Soccer playoffs, it was announced on Thursday by SiriusXM and Major League Soccer.

Starting with the opening round games on October 30 and 31, and through the MLS Cup title game on December 7, soccer fans will have access to live play-by-play of matches on SiriusXM’s dedicated soccer channel, SiriusXM FC (channel 94). In addition to live play-by-play, SiriusXM FC will air MLSsoccer.com’s ExtraTime Radio show, covering the world of Major League Soccer and featuring guests from around the soccer scene with hosts Greg Lalas and Nick Firchau.



SiriusXM FC offers listeners a mix of soccer talk and play-by-play 365 days a year. In addition to Major League Soccer matches, the channel also carries play-by-play from the Barclays Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, Capital One Cup and the UEFA Europa League.


Listeners also get a daily lineup of soccer talk shows hosted by an expert cast of former players, coaches, executives and journalists from the US and Europe.
