Save of the Week

LA Galaxy's Jaime Penedo wins Week 31's Save of the Week award by a landslide for one-handed block

Jaime Penedo, LA Galaxy, made a stunning save to preserve a win at Vancouver.

Jaime Penedo just can't stop making quality saves.

The Panamanian No. 1 had his latest highlight-reel block this past weekend and was the clear-cut Save of the Week winner in Week 31 as a result, earning more than 64 percent of the vote for his one-handed denial of Rodney Wallace in the LA Galaxy's 1-0 defeat to the Portland Timbers.

With the game still scoreless, Wallace found himself in close in the penalty area before seeing Penedo swat away a hard shot with a quick reaction save that was as impressive as it was clutch.

The award is Penedo's second of the season. He also won it back in Week 26.

Final Votes - Week 31 (online poll and text vote):

1. Jaime Penedo (LA): 64.16%
2. Jimmy Nielsen (SKC): 14.55%
3. Zac MacMath (PHI): 11.65%
4. Joe Willis (DC): 5.44%
5. Dan Kennedy (CHV): 4.21%
