Nielsen wins fourth Save of the Week award of 2011

The White Puma made a charge for Goalkeeper of the Year award this season, and he closed it out by winning the final Save of the Week of 2011.

The Sporting Kansas City netminder’s quick-reflex kick save on D.C. United’s Stephen King dominated the Week 32 voting, earning more than 41 percent of the tallies. It marks the Danish veteran’s fourth Save of the Week honors of 2011, second only to Kasey Keller’s six.

Nielsen and SKC travel to Colorado to open their Eastern Conference Semifinal series on Sunday (7:30 pm ET, Fox Soccer, TSN2).
