Save of the Week

Last-gasp save by TFC's Kocic earns Save of the Week

Milos Kocic

Not bad for his first start of the year.

Toronto FC goalkeeper Milos Kocic, stepping in for injured regular Stefan Frei, earned the latest Save of the Week award with 42.5 percent of fans judging his stoppage-time reflex save on Real Salt Lake midfielder Will Johnson's side volley to be the best from Week 22.

The late block by the 26-year-old not only preserved a 1-0 win for Toronto, but it also gave Kocic his first career shutout. The overall performance earned Kocic, who is in his third MLS season, a nomination to the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week.

Another stoppage time block by FC Dallas veteran Kevin Hartman came in second place on the strength of 31.9 percent of the ballots. Houston's Tally Hall, Chivas USA's Dan Kennedy and Chicago's Sean Johnson rounded out the top five vote-getters.

The award marks the second Save of the Week award for Toronto FC after Frei claimed the award in Week 9.
