SECOND TEAM NEIGHBORHOOD CLEANUP SLATED FOR WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26
For the second straight year, the Crew is partnering with Keep Columbus Beautiful (KCB) and the Greater Linden Development Corporation for a neighborhood cleanup. This year's cleanup is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, at 2 p.m., when Crew players and staff, along with community volunteers, will pick up litter at two locations just north of Crew Stadium: on Silver Drive, south of I-71, and on Maynard Ave., from the Hiawatha Park intersection west to Pontiac St.

Like last spring, when the team picked up 1,620 pounds of trash at two locations on March 29, KCB will help guide the cleanup and supply the trash bags, litter grabbers, gloves and other tools. KCB is a City of Columbus community improvement program that is a unique arm of the Refuse Collection Division of the Columbus Department of Public Service. The program's mission is to promote and coordinate litter cleanups, graffiti prevention and removal, recycling, and beautification projects.

CREW PARTNERS WITH PDL'S MICHIGAN BUCKS, WILL PLAY EXHIBITION IN DETROIT ON MAY 25
The Crew and the Michigan Bucks of the United Soccer League's (USL) Premier Development League (PDL) have announced a soccer partnership for the 2006 soccer season. The relationship for this year will include the Bucks' top MLS prospects training with The Crew this summer, while playing full time for the Bucks.

In addition, The Crew has announced it will travel to Detroit to play the Bucks on Thursday, May 25, at Stoney Creek High School in Rochester Hills, Mich. Complete details of the relationship have not been finalized, but part of the plan is to bring as many Bucks fans as possible to a designated Crew game in Columbus this summer. The Bucks/Crew relationship will closely adhere to all NCAA guidelines, as they relate to the eligibility of its college players when associating with a professional club. The relationship with the Bucks will be similar to working arrangements that are currently in place with MLS teams Chicago and Colorado, who both support a local PDL franchise.

CREW AND OHIO STATE RAISE OVER $19,000 IN FIFTH ANNUAL CONNOR SENN MATCH LAST WEEK
The Crew and Ohio State raised over $19,000 at the Fifth Annual Connor Senn Memorial Match that was played on April 19 at OSU's Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The Crew and OSU played to a 1-1 tie, with Brandon Moss scoring The Crew goal. All proceeds from the game will go to the Connor Senn Memorial Scholarship Fund, which has now raised over $73,000 to date. The Connor Senn Memorial Scholarship Fund was started by Dr. Lance Senn, Connor's father and a former member of the Ohio State tennis team. Connor collapsed during Ohio State's match at Akron Sept. 26, 2001 and died that night from a congenital heart defect. A native of Granville, Ohio, Connor was a freshman walk-on defender who had earned a starting position midway through the 2001 season. He saw action in eight of 10 matches, starting five. The scholarship fund will become fully endowed once it reaches $100,000. Those wishing to make a contribution to the Connor Senn Memorial Scholarship Fund can do so by sending a check to Kristyn Carman, The Ohio State University, Gift Processing, The Fawcett Center, Room 709, 2400 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43210 (account #410775). Please include name and address so you may receive documentation of your charitable contribution from OSU for your tax records.
