Red Bull New York announce first-ever 'Field of Dreams' promotion

SECAUCUS, N.J. - Red Bull New York announced today that they are giving youth soccer clubs the opportunity to win a "Field of Dreams." As was previously announced, the Red Bulls are laying natural sod over the FieldTurf at Giants Stadium for their home opener on April 8. Following the match, one lucky youth soccer club will win the actual field that is used during the Red Bulls/Revolution match.

"This historic field is going to live on and provide a community with an instant upgrade," said Red Bull New York President and General Manager Alexi Lalas. "The Red Bulls are all about spreading grass around."

For every 15 tickets purchased for opening day, the respective youth soccer club will receive one entry to win the "Field of Dreams." One club will be randomly selected and notified Friday night, April 7th. Representatives of the winning team will be recognized on the "Field of Dreams" along with Red Bull New York President and General Manager Alexi Lalas and former players from the legendary New York Cosmos.

Delivery of the field to the winning club's location of choice will begin Monday, April 10, 2006. The field will be transported to a pre-determined location agreed upon by both parties. The New York Red Bulls assume no financial responsibility for additional transportation required beyond the initial delivery of the turf. The Red Bulls will provide information on companies qualified to provide this delivery service, however preparation and application of the field is the responsibility of the winning club. The winning club assumes sole responsibility of the field once delivery is complete.
