Los Angeles Galaxy and Club Deportivo Chivas USA to battle in inaugural Honda Super Classico Series

Honda Super Classico Series

to determine local supremacy at The Home Depot Center on the campus of Cal State University, Dominguez Hills in the inaugural Honda Super Clasico Series. The winning club and MVP of the series will be awarded trophies in the annual series.


A press conference will be held tomorrow, April 19 at 12:45 p.m. in the Stadium Club of The Home Depot Center to announce further details on the series.


The presentation of the Honda Super Clasico Series trophy and the MVP of the series will take place immediately following the final contest. The two clubs will meet for the first time in MLS history on April 23 when the Galaxy hosts Chivas at 7 p.m. Chivas will play host to the Galaxy on May 28 while the Galaxy will be the home team when the clubs meet on July 16. The season series closes out on Oct. 8 when Chivas hosts the Galaxy. All games will take place at The Home Depot Center.
