Forward Adolfo Bautista and Cuauhtémoc Blanco headline Chivas and América rosters for Wednesday's 'Doble Clásico'

CARSON, Calif. - Club Deportivo Guadalajara star Adolfo 'Bofo' Bautista and Club América captain Cuauhtémoc Blanco headline the rosters that head coaches Benjamín Galindo (Chivas) and Mario Carrillo (América) have announced for Wednesday's match, 'Coors Light Te Trae el Clásico de Clásicos' (Coors Light Brings You the Classic of Classics), between Mexico's two most popular soccer clubs. This latest edition of Mexico's greatest sports rivalry is scheduled to kick off at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at 9:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday, August 10.


Both teams will be arriving in Los Angeles in the afternoon of Monday, August 8. Guadalajara vs. América is being held in a doubleheader also featuring the 'Honda Super Clasico', Chivas USA versus the Los Angeles Galaxy, the U.S.'s only intra-city pro soccer rivalry and the fourth regular-season meeting between the two Los Angeles-based Major League Soccer clubs.


In addition to talismanic forward 'Bofo' Bautista, who last weekend scored Chivas' first goal of the recently started Mexican Apertura 2005 season, Club Deportivo Guadalajara - popularly known as 'Chivas' - is also bringing Mexican National Team players Alberto Medina and Rafael Medina, as well as stars Manuel Sol, Johnny García, Juan Pablo Alfaro and Alejandro Vela, among other members of the Copa Libertadores 2005 semifinalists.


For their part, the 'Águilas' (Eagles) of Club América, Mexico's reigning league champions, are brining star players Reinaldo Navia, Guillermo Ochoa, Kléber Boas, Claudio López, Germán Villa, Ricardo Rojas, Raúl Salinas, Juan Antonio Castro y Aarón Padilla, in addition to the enigmatic Blanco, among other players.


Tickets for this historic doubleheader are now on sale for just $25, $40 and $60; tickets bought on the day of the game are subject to an additional $5 surcharge.
