TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing The Colorado Rapids have signed midfielder Will Vint to a Homegrown contract, the club announced Wednesday. Colorado acquired his Homegrown rights from Atlanta United for a 2022 MLS SuperDraft fourth round pick. Vint, 18, spent two years with Manchester United’s youth academy following a trial with the club

Career Summary

HOW ACQUIRED: Signed as a Homegrown Player on March 4, 2020.

Vint is a promising young central midfielder with a high ceiling. He will look to develop as a professional in 2021.

OUTSIDE MLS: Vint spent 2020 on loan with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks in the USL Championship. He joined the Rapids after spending 2019 with Atlanta United 2 while part of the MLS side’s youth academy. The central midfielder, who grew up in Colorado Springs, made 16 appearances for Atlanta United 2, recording a goal and an assist. Prior to joining Atlanta United’s academy, Vint spent two years with Manchester United’s youth academy following a trial with the English Premier League side. Born in Chandler, Arizona, Vint moved to Colorado when he was three and was a product of local youth sides Real Colorado and Pride Soccer.
