BRAZILIAN NATIONAL TEAM

Silva made his international debut in 2008 and has registered over 40 caps since. He did not appear at the 2010 World Cup despite being on the roster. He is currently the captain of the national team.

CLUB CAREER

Silva left for Europe early but returned after not appearing in a match for two seasons. He restored his form with Fluminense before returning to Europe to play for AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. He has been named to the last three UEFA Team's of the Year.
