PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2020 (Tacoma): The midfielder started and played the full 90 minutes in both of his contests in 2020 prior to the suspension of play, leading the club with five shots and three shots on goal. He made his MLS debut on at the Colorado Rapids (September 7), logging 32 minutes as a substitute after agreeing to a Short-Term Agreement after Sounders FC qualified for Extreme Hardship (when a club has less than 14 outfield players or has fewer than two goalkeepers available).

2019 (Tacoma): Hopeau made 28 appearances in 2019, starting a career-high 25 matches. He recorded career highs in goals (5) and assists (4) in 2,067 minutes. Hopeau posted a 79.2% success rate on his passes, and a 34.6% success rate on his long passes.

2018 (S2): Hopeau took another step forward in 2018, staring 24 matches as he recorded two goals and 27 chances created. He opened his account on August 12th, scoring a long-range goal in a 3-2 home win over San Antonio FC. He found the back of the net once again on September 6th, tallying a dramatic late equalizer in S2’s 4-4 draw with Tulsa Roughnecks.
