HOW ACQUIRED: Signed as a free agent on Feb. 2, 2018.

The tenacious Clark was an original Dynamo player and remained a key presence in central midfield for Houston through the 2017 season. Clark helped Houston to 3 MLS Cup appearances and 2 MLS Cup titles with his standout defensive play and talented long-range shooting. He joins Crew SC to add a veteran presence in the midfield.

INTERNATIONAL: US international  with 34 caps and 3 goals including big tournament experience for the squad. Started in the 2010 World Cup, 2009 Confederations Cup, 2007 Gold Cup, and 2007 Copa America. As a youth player helped the U-20 team to the quarterfinals at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championships.

OUTSIDE MLS: Signed with Eintracht Frankfurt of the Bundesliga following the 2009 MLS season. Though his time with Frankfurt was hampered by injuries, he signed a three-year deal with the club in May 2010. Spent the first part of 2012 on loan in Norway with Stabaek before returning to Houston in 2012.

COLLEGE: Was drafted by the Metrostars as the second overall pick in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft. Before being drafted Clark played two years at Furman University in Greenville, S.C where he was named First Team NSCAA All-American, First Team College Soccer News All-American and All-Southern Conference First Team in 2002.
