Option declined following 2017 season.
Jermaine Taylor cemented his status as one of the steadiest center backs in MLS during his lengthy stay with the Houston Dynamo as one of the team’s defensive cornerstones. In five seasons, Taylor made more than 100 appearances for the Dynamo and served as an emotional touchstone for back-to-back Eastern Conference titles in 2011 and 2012. Whatever he lacks in pure size he more than compensates for in keen soccer instincts and supreme athleticism.
INTERNATIONAL: Since making his debut for the full Jamaican national team in 2003, Taylor’s been one of its steadiest presences. He’s amassed 84 caps as of Jan. 24, 2017, serving as one of Jamaica’s best center backs in Caribbean Cups, Gold Cups and more.
OUTSIDE MLS: Taylor spent the first eight years of his career in the Jamaican National Premier League, first with Harbour View from 2004-2009, and then with St. George’s SC from 2009-2011
