Career Summary

Charlotte FC signed English defender Harry Toffolo on August 5, 2025. Toffolo signed with the Club as a free agent after spending the previous three seasons with Nottingham Forest FC of the English Premier League.

Prior to joining The Crown, the fullback spent his entire career in England, spanning across all four professional divisions in the country. Toffolo’s most recent spell saw him with Nottingham Forest FC in England’s topflight, where he featured in 57 matches across all competitions, scoring one goal and notching three assists. He joined the EPL side from Huddersfield Town where Toffolo played 99 matches, scoring nine goals and adding 15 assists and helped lead the club to a stellar 2021/22 season that ended in a Championship Playoff Final appearance, falling to Forest 1-0.

Toffolo’s professional career began at Norwich City FC, where the defender rose through the Academy ranks and signed his first professional contract to go along with two First Team appearances with the Canaries before seeing multiple loan spells. He joined Swindon Town on loan for the 2014/15 campaign, tallying one goal and eight assists across 30 matches while featuring on the left side of the backline, opposite of current CLTFC teammate Nathan Byrne. Toffolo saw further loans at Rotherham United, Peterborough United, Scunthorpe United and Doncaster Rovers before moving to Millwall on a permanent basis during the winter window of the 2017/18 season. Toffolo’s final stop before joining Huddersfield saw him join Lincoln City in 2018, where he was named to the PFA Team of the Season following their League Two title-winning campaign.

On the international stage, Toffolo broke through England’s youth squads, making a total of 10 appearances across the U-18, -19 and –20 age groups.
