Career Summary

George Acosta is a Miami-born attacking midfielder of Colombian heritage. He has been a regular for the U.S. Youth National Teams since the U-14 levels. He participated in the Montaigu Tournament in France with the U-16s, scoring six goals that helped the U.S. lift the trophy for the first time since 1992.

With the U-17s, Acosta competed in the 2017 U-17 FIFA World Cup in India, making two appearances and scoring one goal.

At the club level, Acosta’s competitive career began with local youth soccer club Weston FC. He joined the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. in 2015, and a year later signed with USL side North Carolina FC in 2016. He joined Austin Bold FC in August 2019, where remained until joining Inter Miami at the start of 2020.
