A talented young midfielder, Emiliano Brienza joined the Whitecaps FC Academy in September 2018 after previously playing with Mountain United FC in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League. He signed with the club's Development Squad in February 2019.

2018-2019: Started 18 matches with the U-17 team, including three playoff matches, scoring six goals. Also made three appearances with the U-19 team.
