Godin is on the verge of a century of caps with Uruguay since making his international debut in 2005. He has been part of the starting lineup since 2007.

CLUB CAREER

After playing for Cerro and Nacional in Uruguay, Godin joined Villareal in Spain in 2007. After three seasons he left for Atleti where he captured the 2013-14 La Liga title. He scored the equalizing goal against Barcelona in the season finale.
