Nicknamed Nana, Adjei-Boateng made 14 starts in 20 appearances in 2018 after an injury disrupted his fitness and forced him to miss 10 games in 2017. The powerful box-to-box midfielder scored his first career MLS goal deep in stoppage time in a 2-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on August 11.
OUTSIDE MLS: A former member of the Right to Dream program, Adjei-Boateng signed his first professional contract for European giants Manchester City in 2011. Adjei-Boateng would arrive at Strømsgodset IF in 2012, making his debut on August 12. spending the four seasons on loan at Norwegian club, Strømsgodset IF. During that time, the midfielder tallied 18 goals in 101 appearances across all competitions.
