Career Summary

PRONUNCIATION: QUA-joe POE-koo

Kwadwo Poku was one of the breakout stars in MLS in 2015 for New York City FC. Poku racked up four goals and seven assists, and was named to the MLS 24 Under 24. He was the NYCFC player of the month in August 2015. However, he didn't fit in with head coach Patrick Vieira's plans for 2016 and was transferred to Miami FC at the end of June.

INTERNATIONAL: Poku made his first appearance for Ghana in October, 2015.

OUTSIDE MLS: Played in the youth system of his hometown club, Asante Kotoko SC, in Kumasi, Ghana. The club is the most successful in Ghana Premier League history, winning a record 22 championships to go along with a pair of CAF Champions League crowns. Joined the Georgia Revolution in 2010 after coming to the United States from Ghana. After a 2013 hat trick in the US Open Cup, he joined the Atlanta Silverbacks in 2014.
