VIDEO: LA Galaxy's Omar Gonzalez makes directorial debut in drone helicopter POV film | SIDELINE

Omar Gonzalez

Omar Gonzalez owns a remote-operated drone helicopter fitted with a video camera, and we're pretty sure it's his favorite toy of all-time.

The LA Galaxy and US national team defender first started posting videos shot with the DJII drone to his Instagram and Twitter pages about five months ago. Since then, Gonzalez has honed his helicopter-flying skills and captured seconds and minutes worth of breathtaking beach footage.

Now, with weeks and months of experience in film, the 24-year-old center back is taking his filmmaking skills to the next level with the release of a
feature-length
short Internet film.

The story of a group of friends traveling halfway across a single zip code in Southern California, solving mysteries and filming their dogs on the beach, Every Dog Has Its Day is the directorial debut of Omar Gonzalez.

What the critics are saying — a short review of the film, courtesy of Adam Serrano, LA Galaxy Insider:

Rating: D (for strong dog related content and questionable beach attire), FOUR paws up
