Save of the Week

Sporting Kansas City's Eric Kronberg's superb stop on Bernardo Anor wins Save of the Week in Week 9

Bernardo Añor and Columbus Crew fans everywhere were surely thinking goal when the midfielder nodded a cross towards goal vs. Sporting Kansas City last Sunday.

Unfortunately for them, SKC goalkeeper Eric Kronberg had other ideas.

Kronberg delivered a superb stop to deny Añor of a would-be equalizer, a 30th-minute save that helped Sporting KC pick up a 2-0 victory at home vs. the Crew and also collected Week 9's Save of the Week award. Kronberg's impressive parry won the honors by a landslide, claiming 43.84 percent of the week's vote.

Philadelphia Union's Zac MacMath came in second place in this week's race with 18.61 percent.
