Secondary transfer window closes at Thursday's trade deadline of 5 pm ET

Giovani Dos Santos with the Mexican national team vs. Honduras

MLS teams only have a few hours of wheeling and dealing left in the 2015 season, with the secondary transfer window set to close and the trade deadline set for 5 pm ET on Thursday. (Note: Paperwork must be filed with US Soccer and/or Canadian Soccer Association by 12 midnight CT.)

We've seen a bevy of activity so far this window, with Giovani dos Santos moving to LA from Villarreal, the New York Red Bulls and Portland Timbers each adding an Argentine DP in Gonzalo Verón and Lucas Melano, respectively, and Johan Venegas moving to Montreal from Costa Rica. Additionally, there have been 10 trades this window, with Alvaro SaborioAmobi Okugo and Jack McInerney among the players changing clubs.

MLS teams may still sign out-of-contract players – think Didier Drogba and Andrea Pirlo – past Thursday's deadline, all the way up until rosters freeze on Sept. 16.

Clubs will be able to resume bringing players in via trades and transfers in December on the day immediately following MLS Cup.
