Option declined following 2017 season.
For a player who’s only 24, Jack McInerney has lived a remarkable amount of life in MLS already. In seven seasons spread between four teams, McInerney has already amassed more than 9,000 professional minutes as a goal-poaching striker who’s equally adept at running at defenders and hanging around the six-yard box to knock in rebounds and caromed balls. McInerney announced his presence on the scene in 2013 with 12 goals, and he’s been an intriguing striker prospect ever since.
INTERNATIONAL: McInerney was a key part of the 2009 U17 squad in Nigeria, where he scored two goals in four games. He’s been called up to full senior team camps but has yet to make his first cap.
