Roman Torres will travel with the Seattle Sounders to Texas ahead of Sunday’s second leg of the Western Conference Semifinal series at FC Dallas (9 pm ET; FS1, FOX Deportes in the US, TSN2 in Canada), but midfielders Andreas Ivanschitz and Alvaro Fernandez will not make the trip due to injury.
All three players missed the Sounders’ 3-0 Leg 1 win against Dallas due to injury, with Fernandez out due to a hamstring strain, Ivanschitz out with a knee injury and Torres missing due to hamstring tightness.
Torres has been excellent for Seattle since returning from an ACL injury in August, with the Sounders posting a 5-1-2 record with three shutouts in his eight regular season starts. The Sounders aren’t yet sure if he’ll be able to play on Sunday. If he can’t, Zach Scott, who started in Leg 1, would likely be in line for another start alongside fellow center back Chad Marshall.
