Longtime MLS forward Kenny Cooper is on trial with Orlando City.

Orlando Sentinel reporter Alicia Del Gallo tweeted on Tuesday that Cooper is training with the Lions ahead of their “Fuerza Puerto Rico” friendly on Saturday against the Puerto Rican national team.

"It's been a while since he's knocked around with a MLS team, and he's still hopeful to resurrect his career, so we thought we'd have a look," Orlando head coach Jason Kreis told DelGallo.

Cooper, 33, last played in 2015, when he made just one appearance for the Montreal Impact in an injury-shortened season. The former US international has 75 goals and 20 assists in 211 career regular season appearances with FC Dallas, Portland Timbers, New York Red Bulls, Seattle Sounders and Montreal. He was in preseason camp with New York in 2016, but didn’t make the club’s MLS roster.
