Red Bull Academy Update: June 30

U20s:
The U20s did not play a match last week.

U18s: The U18s posted a 1-1-1 week in US Soccer Development Academy action. The Red Bulls opened the week on Friday June 27, as the U18s played the U18 De Anza Force to a 1-1 draw. Cesar Blacido scored the lone marker for the Red Bulls. On Sunday, June 29, a Walter Hines brace, another goal from Blacido, and tallies from Sam Archer and Giorgi Lomtadze gave the Red Bulls a 5-0 win over U18 FC Milwaukee. The U18s concluded the week with a 2-1 loss to the U18 Columbus Crew on Monday, June 30. Matt Kassel scored for the Red Bulls.

U16s: The U16s won two of the three matches they played last week, as the Red Bulls played three US Soccer Development Academy matches. On Friday, June 27, goals from Oscar Gonzalez and CJ Lyle propelled the Red Bulls to a 3-1 win over U16 De Anza Force. The U16 followed up that win with a 1-0 clean sheet victory over U16 FC Milwaukee on Saturday, June 28. Gonzalez scored the game-winner for the Red Bulls. On Monday, June 30, the Red Bulls dropped a 2-0 decision to the U16 Columbus Crew.

U15s: The U15s competed in the US Youth Soccer Region I Championships in Maine, winning their Group with a perfect 3-0-0 record to advance to the semifinals before bowing out. The Red Bulls began Group C play on Friday, June 27 with a 9-0 victory over U15 EPIC Blast. Three players recorded multi-goal games, as James Raytsin tallied a hat trick, and Oscar Castillo and Hayden Harr each recorded a brace. Jonathan Gonzalez and John Agudelo also found the back of the net for the U15s. The tournament continued on Saturday, June 28 with a 5-0 win over U15 Hockessin SC with Gonzalez and Agudelo scoring two goals apiece and Michael Innocenzi adding another. Those wins set up a match with Brandywine United to win the group on Sunday, June 29. A Harr marker was the difference in a 1-0 win that gave the Red Bulls the Group C win and a berth in the semifinals on Monday, June 30. In that match, the Red Bulls fell behind, 3-0, but rallied behind goals from Raytsin and Agudelo to pull to within one at 3-2, but could not score the equalizer in the 3-2 defeat. The U15s outscored their opponents, 15-0, in the group stages, and 17-3 overall for the tournament, with six different players scoring and five scoring multiple goals, paced by Raytsin and Agudelo, who each found the back of the net four times.

U14s: The U14s had the week off.
