Real Madrid climbed back into second spot of the Primera Liga with a comfortable win over Real Mallorca.
Early goals from Arjen Robben and Raul put Juande Ramos' men firmly in control at the Ono Estadi before Sergio Ramos completed a comfortable afternoon for the reigning champions midway through the second half.
The result means Madrid have now won three successive matches without conceding a goal since their painful defeat against arch-rivals Barcelona at the Nou Camp last month, although they were certainly helped in this instance by some naive defending from Gregorio Manzano's men.
Mallorca came into the game without a league win in nine attempts and their cause was not helped by the absence of Aritz Aduriz, Josemi and Fernando Varela, all of whom were suspended for this clash.
However, the islanders made a bright start and put the visitors on the back foot with a couple of dangerous attacks inside the opening two minutes.
First Juan Arango whipped in a cross from the left that went through a crowd of bodies before skipping away for a corner off the leg of Ramos.
Then Ivan Ramis should have done better with his header from the resulting corner but he could only direct his effort straight at Iker Casillas.
And the cost of that miss was highlighted seconds later as Madrid took the lead with the very next attack.
The returning Gonzalo Higuain picked up possession on the halfway line and sent Robben away into acres of space down the right with a ball over the top of Mallorca's high defensive line.
The Dutchman raced clear, leaving eight red shirts in his wake, before cutting inside onto his favoured left foot and sliding the ball underneath the advancing Dudu Aouate.
Raul doubled the visitors' advantage after 16 minutes with Higuain again the provider.
The Argentinian forward caught the Mallorca defense on their heels once again, darting between three players into the box before slipping a pass across the goalmouth for his veteran strike partner to backheel the ball into an empty net from two yards.
It could have got much worse for the hosts but they were indebted to keeper Aouate who was quickly off his line to deny Raul and Higuain in quick succession.
Mallorca started to pick up more possession as the game settled down but they were unable to create anything worthwhile as they failed to trouble Casillas with numerous shots from distance either side of half-time.
So it seemed inevitable that Madrid would score the next goal and the killer third came on 66 minutes.
Fernando Gago lifted a ball back into the box after an attack was only half-cleared and Ramos arrived unmarked at the back post to volley a shot between the legs of Aouate.
Tempers frayed towards the end and Alhassane Keita was lucky not to be shown a red card when he appeared to throw a punch at Ramos.
