Quotes: HOU 3, FCD 3

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER QUOTE SHEET
SUNDAY, APRIL 6, 2008 - HOUSTON DYNAMO 3, FC DALLAS 3

HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR

On the game:
"We are happy with the point. You always want to come out with three, but with all the circumstances, to score so late. There were some things that need to be pointed out and worked on, but I think the attitude of guys was great today."

On Pat Onstad going down:
"I hoped I did not need to make a sub, and you never know when a guy goes down. The one thing is when he threw the ball and he had no power on his throw and he could see there was something wrong. Pat is honest enough to pull himself out."

On Geoff Cameron's first career MLS start:
"For his first game for us, we had a good atmosphere, so it could be an intimidating atmosphere for a young guy like him, but he has done the work before the game in preseason. The goal and the assist aside, I think he had a very positive impact on the game."

On giving up three goals:
"You never feel good when you give up goals. If it was just straight-up bad defending, then you would be concerned. I think we gave the ball away in bad areas, which is very unlike us, and it left us exposed, and they took advantage of it."

HOUSTON DYNAMO GOALKEEPER PAT ONSTAD

On his injury:
"When I came down, I was off balance and landed a bit on my shoulder and then my head when I fell through. My head's OK, there's not much to damage there. I think it was a fair challenge, just two guys going for the ball, and I got caught."

HOUSTON DYNAMO MIDFIELDER GEOFF CAMERON

On the game-winning goal:
"I saw Brian [Ching] shook off his man and slipped it through. He had a great turn on the defender, and I thought he was going to take it himself, and I just kept on running. He slipped it through, and I hit it as hard as I could, and it went in the back of the net and it was a great feeling."

On his first career start:
"It was a great feeling to get my first start and play in front of a crowd like this. The fans are awesome, they're great. These guys know what it takes to win a championship, and I'm just doing whatever I can to make an impact with the team."

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH STEVE MORROW

On the result:
"We're very disappointed. It feels like a loss. I think we should have had the game won by then. We had two or three chances to go up 4-2. We should've finished off the game."

On allowing a late goal:
"We're disappointed to give up a goal so late. We did the same thing last week, so we should be sitting on two wins and six points right now."

On the start to the season:
"It's still very early days and there's a lot of positive things from the game, so we'll take those and move on and continue to get better."

FC DALLAS FORWARD ARTURO ALVAREZ

On his performance:
"I think I can give a lot more. It's the very beginning of the season; it's my first game. I'm pretty happy with my performance."

On the team's performance:
"The team didn't come out with the win, though I think we deserved it. Soccer's like that sometimes, but the good thing is that we played well. We just have to finish the games."

On the team's offense:
"I think Kenny [Cooper] and [Juan] Toja and I did a lot of good stuff out there, and I think we could do even more. We enjoy working with each other. In practice, we can all see that. As long as it shows in games also, that's always a good plus and hopefully we can continue to contribute to the team as much as we can."

FC DALLAS DEFENDER DUILIO DAVINO

On the team's performance"
"The team is working hard. It's our second game, and we can do better to have a better season."

On the quality of play in MLS:
"I know the league very well, I've played against teams here before, and it's a great level. In Mexico, it's the same game. The levels are very close."
