FC DALLAS 2, CHIVAS USA 0

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH PREKI

On the game:

"From the first moment of the game I think we lacked alertness, we weren't sharp, especially the first 20-25 minutes of the game, and obviously we conceded the early goal in the first five minutes of the game. But after 25 minutes I thought we created some good opportunities. I thought Galindo had three or four good chances where we could have pulled even, and then it would've been a different game. Second half, Dallas defended, they put ten guys behind the halfway line and tried to catch us on a break. It was one of those days that, in a lot of ways, I felt that we didn't find enough energy and enough commitment to get a goal today."

On the lack of energy:

"I wish I could tell you [why], because all week I thought the guys were sharp, they were working hard. We thought even though we had quite a few young guys on the field maybe we could get something today, but again, it wasn't the case."

On reviewing the team's performance:

"I'm going to look at the video, see what's going on, assess things. Obviously we have a big game next week against the Galaxy here."

CHIVAS USA DEFENDER CHRIS POZNIAK

On how the team played:

"I thought we came out very flat, and fell behind, and were chasing the game ever since. I thought we never quite picked ourselves up after that."

On if the absence of some key players affected the game:

"Definitely. We kind of needed a little bit of inspiration in the midfield but having some good attacking players out, we missed them."

On what the team needs to improve next week against the Galaxy:

"I think just overall fighting spirit and attitude from minute one."

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH STEVE MORROW

On how the team played:

"I think we started the game very well. We possessed the ball well early on. I think as each game has gone on through the start of the season we've started to move the ball a little better. We came in here with some big players missing as well; we left Toja behind, Richetti behind, Bobby Rhine behind, so to put in the performance that we did is a credit to the guys. The subs came on and did a good job as well. It was a real team effort tonight."

On Ricardinho's play:

"I think his speed and Arturo's speed was important for us. We wanted to try to get behind the back line of Chivas and I thought we did that successfully early on with Ricardo and Arturo Alvarez. That was positive. I think all the forwards had good games."

On if this is the best performance his team has put in this season:

"I think so, yeah. We're definitely starting to see things come together a bit more. I don't think we played as well as we can over the 90 minutes. It's still early in the season, it's still early days, I still think there's room for improvement with the team. But to come here, win 2-0 and get a clean sheet, is very, very positive."

FC DALLAS FORWARD KENNY COOPER

On the team's performance:

"I have so much confidence in everyone in the squad. Ricardinho came in and played a part in the goal, Arturo's gotten off to an incredible start, Abe Thompson, you saw the quality of his finish. I feel we are lucky here to have a very deep squad and you know, hopefully we can take this positive start and get better and better."

On his performance:

"I want to make positive contributions to the team, whether it's scoring goals or getting assists, or making an impact in any other way. It's not just about individual stats or goals, I think so many players are playing such a big part, and fortunately we've had some success already this year."
