Orlando City set home win record for a new stadium

Orlando City celebrating fourth win at home, April 15, 2017

Saturday's cracking match between Orlando City and the LA Galaxy looked, at one point, like it might end the Lions' home streak since their new stadium opened. But though the Galaxy's Romain Alessandrini netted an equalizer at the 83rd minute, Orlando's own Cyle Larin (who else?) managed a stoppage-time game-winner.

With that 2-1 winning result, the fourth in a row at the new Orlando City Stadium, Orlando set a new league record: the most straight home wins since the opening of a new venue.

Three other MLS teams have managed to at least stay undefeated in the first four matches at a new home stadium: the LA Galaxy in 2003 (3-1-0), the New York Red Bulls in 2010 (3-1-0), and the San Jose Earthquakes in 2015 (3-1-0).
