The following are the official scenarios that will determine the final standings and the first round MLS Cup Playoff seedings:
SUPPORTERS’ SHIELD RACE
If LA win or tie:
- LA will win the Supporters' Shield
- LA will finish WEST #1
- RSL will finish WEST #2
If LA lose:
- RSL will win the Supporters' Shield (thanks to superior goal differential)
- RSL will finish WEST #1
- LA will finish WEST #2
