NYCFC injuries: Heber back, Parks questionable, Tinnerholm out for ATL match

Anton Tinnerholm injury - NYCFC

There will be a few familiar faces unavailable for Wednesday's huge top-of-the-table clash at Yankee Stadium between New York City FC and Atlanta United (7 pm ET | MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, TSN5 in Canada).

But one big name will be back.

Josef Martinez is already sidelined for the visitors, while the hosts will be without Anton Tinnerholm, who suffered a concussion in Sunday's 1-1 draw at FC Dallas. Keaton Parks is questionable after suffering a hamstring strain in the same game.

The good news? Star NYCFC forward Heber is back. The Brazilian has been out since Aug. 31 after suffering a quad injury against the Vancouver Whitecaps. He has 14 goals in 20 appearances in his first season with the Cityzens.

Tinnerholm has been vital to NYCFC again this year, starting 29 of their 31 games while patrolling the right flank from endline to endline as a wingback. He has eight assists this season. Parks, meanwhile, has grown into his role with the team, appearing in each of his side's last 18 MLS matches, with 14 starts.

NYCFC can clinch first place in the East as well as a 2019 Concacaf Champions League berth with a win and a Philadelphia Union loss or draw.
