Nashville SC player confirmed positive for COVID-19; all others return negative tests

Nashville SC announced on Saturday that a first-team player has been confirmed positive for COVID-19. Upon receipt of the initial positive result, the player self-isolated immediately, the team began contact tracing and proactively suspended training until all other players and staff returned consecutive negative results.

Following the additional testing, and the remaining players and staff having received two consecutive negative results, Nashville SC is traveling for Saturday's away game at the New England Revolution.

Meanwhile, in accordance with CDC guidelines, the player confirmed positive will continue to self-isolate until medically cleared under the close supervision of the club’s medical staff.

As part of detailed health and safety protocols, all players, technical staff and essential club staff are tested every other day with aggregated results announced every Friday.
