Below is a selection of the notable performances and moments from the 15 matches played on the 15th matchday of the 2025 MLS regular season on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25.

Highlights of the matchday included:

  • Six players who were called into the United States Men’s National Team training camp in June scored in MLS action on Matchday 15: Charlotte FC’s Patrick Agyemang (two goals), San Diego FC’s Luca de la Torre, Real Salt Lake’s Diego Luna, the Philadelphia Union’s Quinn Sullivan, FC Cincinnati’s Miles Robinson, and Vancouver Whitecaps FC’s Brian White (two goals).
  • Four matches featured at least six combined goals scored – including three 3-3 draws. Atlanta United captured the lone victory among those four matches, earning a 4-2 victory over FC Cincinnati on Sunday.
  • Orlando City SC matched its club-record unbeaten run at 12 matches with a 1-0 victory over the Portland Timbers. Duncan McGuire opened his 2025 account with the game’s lone goal.
  • After allowing two goals in the first five minutes against Real Salt Lake, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, behind two goals from forward Brian White, reclaimed the Supporters’ Shield lead with a 3-2 victory on Saturday night.
  • The Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami CF played to a 3-3 draw at Subaru Park in a match that featured a brace from Golden Boot presented by Audi leader Tai Baribo and a goal and an assist from Lionel Messi.

Orlando City SC Matches Club-Record Unbeaten Run with 1-0 Win

Orlando City SC continued its league-best hot streak on Saturday night, as forward Duncan McGuire scored the game’s lone goal (Watch Here) in a 1-0 victory over the Portland Timbers. The win extended Orlando’s unbeaten run to 12 matches, matching the club-record set from August 26 to October 18, 2020. Orlando (27 points, 7-2-6) sits in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings through Matchday 15 and is just four points off the Vancouver Whitecaps for the Supporters’ Shield lead.

With the win, the Lions became the first team with a single-season unbeaten streak of 12-or-more matches since Real Salt Lake’s 15-game run in 2024 (March 23 to June 19) and became just the fourth team to record an unbeaten run of 12-plus games over the last five seasons.

The club will look to set the team-best undefeated streak on Wednesday night as they face off against rival Atlanta United at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV).

Whitecaps Reclaim Supporters’ Shield Lead Behind White’s Heroics

After conceding two goals in the first five minutes of the match, Vancouver Whitecaps FC roared back behind a brace from Brian White to defeat Real Salt Lake, 3-2, at America First Field on Saturday (Watch Highlights of His Performance Here). With the win, the Whitecaps (31 points, 9-1-4) returned to the top of the Supporters’ Shield standings and extended its unbeaten run to nine matches in league play, dating back to March 29.

With a pair of goals, White became the second player to reach 10 goals this season, joining Philadelphia’s Tai Baribo (13). White has four seasons with at least 10 goals with the Whitecaps (2021, 2023, 2024, 2025), the most in club history, and no other Vancouver player has recorded more than two such seasons. With his first score, White also became the ninth active player to reach 70 career goals and the third player to reach the mark this year, joining Nashville’s Hany Mukhtar and Columbus’ Diego Rossi.

Vancouver welcomes Minnesota United FC to BC Place on Wednesday (10:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV) in their final league match before the CONCACAF Champions Cup Final against Cruz Azul on Sunday, June 1 (9 p.m. ET).

Baribo’s Philadelphia & Messi’s Miami Trade Blows in 3-3 Draw

After building a 2-0 first-half lead, the Philadelphia Union traded second-half blows with Inter Miami CF as four goals were scored in the final 35 minutes of action in a 3-3 draw at Subaru Park. Golden Boot presented by Audi leader Tai Baribo recorded a brace for the Union, while Lionel Messi added a goal and an assist in the 87’ and 90’+5’, respectively, for Miami.

Fresh off of his first USMNT call-up, midfielder Quinn Sullivan opened the scoring for the Union in the seventh minute (Watch Here), before Baribo scored his first of two goals just before the half (44’, Watch Here). Tadeo Allende pulled one back for the Herons in the 60th minute to draw within one (Watch Here) before Baribo completed his brace in the 73rd minute (Watch Here).

With his pair of scores, Baribo (13 goals) became the fourth player in MLS history to score at least 13 goals in his team’s first 15 games of a season, joining Carlos Vela (15 in 2019), Chicho Arango (13 in 2024), & Josef Martínez (13 in 2018). Martínez and Vela both won Landon Donovan MLS MVP in their respective seasons.

Behind the late-game heroics of Messi, including a sensational free-kick score (87’, Watch Here), and Telasco Segovia (90’+5’, Watch Here), Inter Miami CF overcame a two-goal deficit in the 85th minute or later to earn a point for the first time in club history and became the first MLS team to do so since 2023.

The Union will look to keep its seven-match unbeaten streak alive against Toronto FC on Wednesday night (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+) before traveling to Texas to take on FC Dallas on Saturday night (8:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV).

Inter Miami returns to action on Wednesday against CF Montréal (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV) before a weekend showdown against the Columbus Crew (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+).

Agyemang Propels Charlotte to Win Over Crew

United States Men’s National Team forward Patrick Agyemang scored twice (Watch Here) and Pep Biel added a goal (Watch Here), as Charlotte FC ended the Columbus Crew’s 11-match road unbeaten run with a 3-2 victory at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday. With the win, Charlotte (22 points, 7-7-1) snapped a five-game losing streak and moved to eighth in the Eastern Conference table.

Agyemang recorded his first multi-goal game of the year and the second of his Charlotte career, as he became the second player in club history to record at least two multi-goal games, joining Karol Świderski (six games). The 24-year-old striker has 16 career goals in 57 matches for Charlotte and trails only Świderski (28 goals) on the club’s all-time scoring leaderboard.

Charlotte embarks on a five-game road swing beginning on Wednesday night against the New York Red Bulls at Sports Illustrated Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV).

Seattle’s Rusnák Makes History in Sounders Victory

On the back of an 86th minute penalty-kick goal by Albert Rusnák (Watch Here), Seattle Sounders FC notched a 1-0 win over FC Dallas on Saturday afternoon, marking the club’s third win in its last five matches. The Sounders (23 points, 6-4-5) climbed to fifth place in the Western Conference table and have taken 17 points across its last eight matches.

With his goal, Rusnák became the second player in MLS history to record at least 25 goals and 25 assists with multiple clubs, joining Steve Ralston, who accomplished the feat with the Tampa Bay Mutiny (34 goals, 62 assists) and the New England Revolution (42 goals, 73 assists). Rusnák has totaled 25 goals and 25 assists across 110 games for the Sounders from 2022-25 and had 41 goals and 39 assists in five seasons with Real Salt Lake from 2017-21.

Seattle will host expansion side San Diego FC on Wednesday night (8:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV), before a Sunday night matchup against Minnesota United FC (6 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV / Apple TV+).
