Darlington Nagbe and child at a game, 2015

Chances are you landed on this page through social media. You’ll read it, re-tweet it, and/or share it. We’re social beings; it’s in our nature. And so are our players.

That’s why we created the MLS Soshies, the first major league social media awards.

Fans, players, and clubs are submitting their best pics in four categories: Let Me Take a #Selfie, the Bigger Picture, Family Matters, and #BFFs.

Today we feature another one of the four categories of the Soshies, “Family Matters.” These players are a star with their number-one fans--their families. Their social media prowess extends to those they care about most: their partners, kids, and pets! Ahhhhh-dorable!

David Villa (NYCFC)

Drew Moor (Colorado Rapids)

Bobby Boswell (D.C. United)

Stefan Frei (Seattle Sounders)

Cristian "Chaco" Maidana (Philadelphia Union)

Kei Kamara (Columbus Crew)

Jermaine Jones (New England Revolution)

Pedro Morales (Vancouver Whitecaps)

And don’t forget we’re also seeking MLS’ Most Social player for our bracket challenge. What does it take to be MLS’ most social player? Read on:

“Whether they’re on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, MySpace or all of the above, they’re just dominating. They’re experts with apps, filters, RTs, and are always up for sharing socially.”

Start combing through your favorite players’ feed to share with us using #MLSSoshies.

You can nominate players now in all five categories now using #MLSSoshies on social media. Nominations will close on Fri., Nov. 27, and finalists and the brackets will be revealed during the week after MLS Cup 2015.
