(October 2, 2020) – Major League Soccer today provided an update on the results of COVID-19 testing for players, coaches, and staff throughout the league from Sept. 24-30.  
MLS will be providing regular updates with aggregated COVID-19 testing results throughout the season.
Major League Soccer COVID-19 Testing Update – October 2, 2020 

  • The number of samples collected and tested was 6,052 from 1,447 individuals between Sept. 24-30.
  • There were seven new confirmed positive cases among players and 10 new positive cases among staff members. The announced Colorado Rapids cases account for four of the new cases among players and all of the new staff member cases for the time period of Sept. 24-30.
