Saphir Taider just wasn't going to let the Montreal Impact head into the summer break on a losing note.

The midfield workhorse converted the equalizing penalty and then scored the late winner in a 2-1, come-from-behind victory over the Seattle Sounders at Stade Saputo on Wednesday evening. And before that, he delivered a rousing pregame speech to his teammates, imploring them to give everything they had so they could head into the break satisfied and at peace.

"At the end of the game, from the first player to the last one, we have to be exhausted. With cramps, tired and proud of ourselves," he said. "Tomorrow we go on holiday. But we have to win today!"

No word whether unused substitutes Karifa Yao and Luca Ricci experienced muscle spasms out of nervousness during the late stages. But you get the idea. And more importantly for Taider, who scored these two goals below, it worked!
