Bradley Wright-Phillips - LAFC - side look

As LAFC get set to resume their 2020 Concacaf Champions League venture, on-loan defender Jesus David Murillo has been named to their 25-man roster, while veteran forward Bradley Wright-Phillips has not.

Both players had their contract options for 2021 declined earlier this month, but Murillo is set to feature when the Black & Gold take on Cruz Azul in a one-leg quarterfinal match on December 16 at Exploria Stadium in Orlando.

The series was originally slated for two legs, but the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March, and will now be played as a single match.

Murillo, 26, was brought in on loan from Colombian side Independiente Medellín in October and featured in five regular season matches for LAFC, starting all of them. He also started and played 73 minutes in LAFC's 3-1 defeat to the Seattle Sounders in Round One of the 2020 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.

Wright-Phillips, meanwhile, had a very productive season for LAFC at age 35, scoring eight goals and dishing out six assists in 1,081 minutes.

When announcing their roster decisions last week, LAFC confirmed that conversations were ongoing about the return of certain players, including the purchase option for Murillo.
