The New York Red Bulls are currently in Florida undergoing preseason training, but center back Ronald Zubar is no longer with them.

As first reported by Empire of Soccer, Zubar left the team's camp in Orlando because of a reported knee injury. While there is no word yet as to the severity of the knock, the 30-year-old Frenchman has flown back north to tend to the issue.

"Ronald is back in New Jersey getting some treatment for an injury," Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch said in a statement released through the club. "We trust our medical team to monitor his progress and we hope to have Ronald back in camp soon."

Zubar reportedly sustained the injury in the Red Bulls' second game of the preseason Sunday against the Jacksonville Armada. He was subbed off in the 25th minute of the match, which New York won 5-2.

The veteran defender, who is expected to help make up for the loss of the departed Matt Miazga, saw his initial MLS season derailed by injuries in 2015. He appeared in 12 games for the Red Bulls, making eight starts and scoring one goal as the club claimed the Supporters' Shield.
