Infection sidelines Aron Johannsson for Switzerland friendly, U-23s' Jordan Morris called up in his stead

Aron Johannsson looks disappointed with USMNT

Aron Johannsson and Jozy Altidore won't have a second European friendly to build on their burgeoning strike partnership.


U.S. Soccer announced on Sunday morning tha Johannsson has been sidelined while undergoing treatment for an infection and will not be available for Tuesday's match against Switzerland (12 pm ET; Fox Sports 1, UniMas, UDN).



In his place, Jurgen Klinsmann called up U-23 forward Jordan Morris, who joins the senior team after scoring the opening goal in the U-23's 5-2 win against Bosnia-Herzegovina on March 27 in Tuzla.
