TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Transfer
Houston Dynamo FC have transferred forward Ezequiel Ponce to LaLiga side Elche, the club announced Friday.
The move opens a Designated Player roster spot for Houston. Guilherme and Mateusz Bogusz are their remaining DPs.
Ponce originally joined Houston from AEK Athens in a club-record deal in June 2024. He departs with 20 goals in 70 matches (all competitions).
The Argentine striker now returns to the Spanish club he called home in 2022 and 2023 before moving to Greek Super League side AEK Athens.
Houston are currently No. 4 in the Western Conference standings with 32 points through 18 matches.
