Galaxy in the community for the holidays

CARSON - The LA Galaxy and the Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation will mark the holiday season this week by participating in three events here in the local community and bringing holiday cheer to children throughout the region. Highlighting the week, Galaxy players such as Landon Donovan, Alan Gordon, Peter Vagenas and more will attend Children's Hospital in downtown Los Angeles to deliver a number of very special gifts and visit with patients.


Build-A-Bear Workshop at Downtown Disney

What:
Galaxy players including Landon Donovan, Lance Friesz and Troy Roberts along with Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation volunteers will be making 100 "soccer Santa" teddy bears to take to patients at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Galaxy Visit Children's Hospital Los Angeles

What:
Galaxy players including Landon Donovan, Alan Gordon and Peter Vagenas will visit patients at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, distributing "soccer Santa" teddy bears and Galaxy goodies while also signing autographs and taking pictures with patients and families.

Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation Holiday Party

What:
Galaxy players including Alan Gordon, Troy Roberts and Peter Vagenas will be on hand to host the Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation's Holiday Party at The Home Depot Center. A group of 100 disadvantaged local children will be in attendance at the party, doing holiday related crafts and visiting with Galaxy players. All kids in attendance will receive a new jacket, soccer ball as well as other presents and goodies, in addition to a special visit from Santa Claus himself.
