Fiddlers Elbow/SL Pizza & Pasta to host Real Salt Lake MLS/World Cup watch parties

SALT LAKE CITY - Real Salt Lake invites fans all across the Wasatch Front to join RSL coaches, players and staff at Fiddler's Elbow / Salt Lake Pizza & Pasta (1063 East 2100 South) for the first of several 2006 World Cup watch parties. Doors open bright and early for breakfast at 7:00 AM each day during the 2006 FIFA World Cup beginning tomorrow, Friday, June 9. Real Salt Lake MF Douglas Sequeira leads his Costa Rican squad against Germany in the opening game of the quadrennial, kicking off at 10:00 AM MST. Real Salt Lake will have coaches and players in attendance for all Costa Rica games to follow Sequeira as he leads Costa Rica in their World Cup journey.


        RSL fans are invited to return tomorrow evening to view RSL's trip to Colorado to face the Rapids in the second installment of the Rocky Mountain Cup, with kickoff live at 7:30 p.m. MT. KALL Sports Radio 700 AM will broadcast live from Fiddler's Elbow / SLP&amp;P beginning at 6:30 p.m., with the RSL "First Kick" show hosted by Spencer Checketts broadcast on location. Joined by KALL 700 personality Bill Riley for tomorrow's show, the duo returns to host the RSL "Extra Time" post-game call-in show at 9:45 p.m. </p>


        The United States has an idle weekend until it kicks off Monday against the Czech Republic. First kick is at 10:00 AM and Fiddler's/SLP&amp;P will once again open its famous breakfast buffet at 7:00 AM in preparation for the game. Real Salt Lake DF Eddie Pope is expected to start as a central defender for Bruce Arena's team and is looking to build on an impressive international resume that includes 80 caps and eight goals, including two previous World Cups. Pope is widely considered the finest defender in the history of U.S. Soccer and he will be counted on to provide leadership for an American team striving to build on their strong World Cup showing in 2002. RSL coaches, players and staff will attending Fiddler's Elbow / SLP&amp;P to watch Pope and the rest of his U.S. teammates for all of the United States' World Cup games.</p>


        The atmosphere at Fiddler's Elbow/SLP&amp;P is expected to be fun-filled and intense as soccer fans and RSL team members will gather to witness the soccer event that captivates millions of people all over the world. Fiddlers Elbow's menu is very versatile, serving everything from steak and sandwiches to salads and pasta. </p>


        Fiddler's Elbow is a tavern where you must be 21 to gain entrance, while Salt Lake Pizza and Pasta is a family friendly environment.  Fans are invited to bring their families and friends to this new location to enjoy great food and watch your favorite soccer team, Real Salt Lake, in a casual, comfortable atmosphere surrounded by fellow RSL enthusiasts.</p>

REAL ELITE TRAINING PROGRAM: The Real Elite Training Program is a progressive summer training program for boys and girls ages 8-16 with previous playing experience and a strong desire to reach their maximum potential. There are a total of 18 sessions, three days a week, and two and a half hours per day.
