FC Dallas General Manager Michael Hitchcock announced Tuesday that the team has acquired a conditional pick in the 2011 SuperDraft from the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for defender Aaron Pitchkolan.
If Pitchkolan starts at least 12 of San Jose's remaining games during the 2009 season, FCD will receive a third round pick from the Earthquakes. Otherwise, Dallas will receive a fourth round selection.
The 26-year-old started 41 of 68 games during his five years at FC Dallas, totaling five goals and one assist. Pitchkolan made one appearance for FCD in 2009, entering the March 29 game versus Chivas USA as a halftime substitute.
