Fresh off securing their first point, FC Cincinnati will play their first MLS home game on Sunday, hosting the Portland Timbers in front of what should be a raucous crowd of 30,000 strong at Nippert Stadium.
FC Cincy rallied from an early deficit to earn a 1-1 draw against defending MLS Cup champions Atlanta United thanks to a Roland Lamah equalizer four minutes from full time. The Timbers are looking to bounce back from a 4-1 loss to LAFC and will be without the suspended Diego Chara, who was sent off Sunday on his second bookable offense.
